Details

Companies that put their public offering and acquisition plans on ice since 2022 are starting to plan for a thaw. In a recent poll*, 85% of responding venture capital and private equity partners who attended the SVB and First Citizens Personal Finance Strategies for Venture Capital & Private Equity Partners webinar predicted that the IPO window would open in the second half of 2024 or the first half of 2025.

If your company is considering exit options through M&A or IPO, mark your calendars for this webinar as we explore what has changed since the window slammed shut. The conversation will feature two seasoned CFOs and an attorney who have adeptly navigated the dynamic landscape of IPOs and acquisitions, including:

Tracy Knox

Board member at Getty Images and veteran CFO who led two publicly traded companies to exit—Rightside and drugstore.com—and who led Rover Group’s go public process via SPAC merger.

Evan Fein

Current CFO of TextNow, who led Chef Software through a successful acquisition and secured multiple rounds of funding for Impinj before leading it through an IPO.

Albert Vanderlaan

Partner in Orrick’s Capital Markets Group who provides legal counsel for IPOs, follow-on public offerings, M&As, and more. In April 2023, he advised CIIG Capital Partners II on its $573 million merger with Zapp Electric Vehicles.

Layered into the conversation will be professional guidance from Jack Gaziano, in-house commercial banker, and Ann Lucchesi, trusted advisor to innovation economy executives on their business and wealth journeys.

Key takeaways:

- Key legal insights for IPO readiness.

- The time and financial resources required for preparation.

- Personal financial planning essentials.

- Preparing your executive team for post-exit realities.

- Fine tuning your cap table and equity compensation plans.

*Informal poll taken during Personal Finance Strategies for Venture Capital & Private Equity Partners webinar hosted by SVB and First Citizens Wealth on February 13, 2024.
