An entrepreneur and investor, Ramy is founder and CEO of Snip.it (Acquired by Yahoo, where he served as a product executive) and one of the earliest engineers at Tellme Networks (Acquired by Microsoft). Ramy started his investing career at Khosla Venture where he worked with investors Vinod Khosla and Pierre Lamond on many investments including Groupme (acquired by Skype), Square (NASDAQ:SQ), and Storify (acquired by LiveFyre). He holds a BA and MS in Computer Science from Harvard and an MBA from Stanford.
Jesse Draper is a mother of 3 boys, founding partner of Halogen Ventures and focused on early stage investing in consumer technology companies led by female and co-ed teams. Draper is a 4th generation venture capitalist as well as creator and host of Emmy nominated television series, The Valley Girl Show. She is a fierce advocate for investing in women and the opportunity for using technology and innovation to solve some of the biggest issues facing women and families today. Among her 70+ portfolio companies, are the Skimm, ThirdLove, HopSkipDrive, The Flex Company, Squad (acquired by Twitter), Eloquii (sold to Walmart) and This is L (sold to P&G).
Selected as one of the top 10 early stage female investors by Business Insider, Draper was also listed by Marie Claire magazine as one of the ‘50 Most Connected Women in America’. Draper has been a contributor to Marie Claire, Forbes, and is a regular investor and tech personality showcased on Cheddar, CNBC, CNN. Following Jesse’s viral Medium piece, Investing in Women Isn’t a Fucking Charity, she’s become a leading voice of women in technology.
She proudly sits on the board of directors of Trust & Will, Carbon38, Preemadonna (creator of the Nailbot) and the non-profit board Bizworld and Project Glimmer. Draper supports the Parkinson’s Institute and is very involved with growing UCLA’s female entrepreneurship community. She and her team also created the ‘Halogen Fellowship in Venture Capital’ to increase diversity and inclusion in the industry.
Natalie Fratto is a managing director on SVB’s Emerging Manager Practice team. In this role, she provides general partners with tailored services and strategic guidance, including fundraising and fund operations strategies, portfolio company support and creative liquidity solutions.
Prior to rejoining SVB, Natalie led strategic investments into emerging managers and growth-stage companies as part of the corporate development team at Goldman Sachs. Natalie started her financial services career at SVB in 2016 as a vice president of Early Stage Practice, providing banking and financing support for the most promising early-stage startups in New York City. She went on to direct SVB’s international expansion into Canada as a senior manager of New Market Development.
Natalie earned her B.A. in Political Science at the University of Michigan. She is an alum of First Round’s Angel Track program and On Deck’s Founder Fellowship, and previously led operations for a Y Combinator–backed startup.
Passionate about new technologies and innovation, Natalie has been a contributing writer for some of the world’s top finance and technology publications, including Fortune, Fast Company and VICE Motherboard.
Her 2019 TED Talk on adaptability has been viewed almost four million times and was one of the top 10 most-watched talks of the year.
Brendan is co-founder and CEO of Flow, a platform networking the innovation economy to empower the private markets. Outside of Flow, Brendan is both an investor and advisor to dozens of mission driven companies. Prior to Flow, Brendan founded Kitchit, an award winning company. Prior to becoming a founder, he was an investment banker at Perella Weinberg Partners. Brendan received an MBA from Stanford and was awarded scholarships to study finance and theology at Fordham, graduating summa cum laude. Named one of Forbes 30 Under 30, his focus is empowering people through community and innovation.
