June Angelides MBE - Investor, Entrepreneur and Speaker

Born in London and raised in Lagos, June joined Samos Investments in 2018, investing in high growth European businesses. Prior to this, she started the first child-friendly coding school in the UK, Mums in Tech, which taught over 250 women to code in 3 years. She also held roles on the Venture Debt Team and Early Stage Banking Team at Silicon Valley Bank. An active part of the tech and startup ecosystem, she sits on the boards of Cajigo, Women of the Year, Ruka and Everpress, a mentor at Oxford University and runs mentoring circles for founders and aspiring VCs.

She is a founding member and judge on the Debut Sessions, a monthly pitch session for founders seeking seed investment. She is passionate about flexible working and getting more women and girls into tech. She is a Columnist at The Financial Times. She has been named by the Financial Times as the 6th Most Influential Tech Leader and by Computer Weekly as one of the most Influential Women in Tech.

June received an Honorary Fellowship at the Institute of Engineering and Technology and was awarded an MBE for services to women in technology. She recently joined the UK Government Taskforce on Women-Led High-Growth Enterprises’ which aims to support women entrepreneurs, tackle investing barriers and increase the number of women-led fast-growing businesses.

Susan Allen grew up in the city of champions - Boston, Massachusetts, and received her B.A. in communications and legal studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After three years at a health care policy nonprofit in Boston, she moved to sto join the Open Society Foundations. Susan completed her master's in management at the London School of Economics and relocated to London to lead the Foundation's work on diversity and inclusion, and to launch Flo with her best friend Tara. Their mission is to make shamelessly natural personal care products that make us feel crazy confident about life's messiest moments. 

Tara Priya Chandra is the CEO of Flo. Born in San Francisco, she studied economics and music at Columbia University in NYC. After working on Wall Street for a hot minute, Tara ended up in the music industry in LA whilst freelance copying-writing for brands like Ray-Ban. After receiving her master's from the London School of Economics un the UK, Tara co-founded Flo with her best friend Susan. Their mission to make shamelessly natural personal care products that make us feel crazy confident about life's messiest moments - from periods, to bladder leaks, to sex and everything else on the human body roller coaster.

James is the founder and CEO of Zephr, a leading Subscription Experience Platform. A futurist, James started his career in the early 2000s in early-stage VR before starting a digital transformation consultancy in 2014. James exited this business in 2018 and in 2019, James closed his first of many venture funding rounds and launched Zephr to the market. Zephr rapidly rose to a market leading position and in 2022 was acquired by Zuora to bring this revolutionary capability to a larger audience.

Sarah is the co-founder and CEO of Husmus, an insurtech startup whose AI assistant provides sustainably priced, inclusive insurance to people who rent homes. As a former strategy consultant, she is a keen problem solver with a strong affinity for data science and strategic planning. She is also an Imperial College London alumnus and DIY landlord.

Sarah won the AccelerateHER & Barclays Eagle Lab Award for FinTech, Data Science and Cyber Security. She is also a finalist for 2023 Black Tech Achievement awards Fintech Individual of the Year.

Francesca (Check) Warner is Co-founder and Partner at Ada Ventures, a venture capital fund that finds and funds extraordinary talent building breakthrough ideas for the hardest problems we face.

Check is the co-founder of Diversity VC, a non-profit promoting diversity and inclusion in Venture Capital and Tech; Check was awarded an MBE in the 2023 King's New Years Honours List for services to Equality and Diversity in the Venture Capital Sector.

Emma heads up Ascension’s impact funds, immersed in sector verticals and business models with potential for both commercial and impact returns at scale. She manages fundraising, deployment and portfolio management for our Fair By Design and Good Food Funds across Fintech/Insurtech (improving financial inclusion), Energy (reducing costs), Transport and Food (helping healthy and affordable food environments to scale) and is currently raising for Ascension Fund III.

Prior to joining Ascension in January 2018, Emma spent time in the charity sector at Eastside Primetimers, progressing the sustainability of charity revenue models and encouraging social investment in the sector (such as FSE’s debt deal into the Giving Machine). She previously spent five and a half years in the corporate banking division of Santander UK as a Credit Partner in the Large Corporates team and Associate Director in the Healthcare Finance team.

Reem is a founding partner at PactVC, one of the UK's first all-female GP's, focused on investing in early-stage companies building solutions for Access, Betterment and Climate. With almost 20 years of experience as an institutional VC investor in London, an active Angel investor, tech asset manager and operator at Mubadala based in Abu Dhabi and founder of a global luxury goods brand, Reem brings a wealth of expertise to Pact.

Reem holds a Conflict Analysis and Resolution degree from Brown University and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance from Columbia Business School, where she graduated on the Dean's list.
