Rob Helm is head of consumer and enterprise relationship management in Northern California. In this role for the SVB Commercial Bank, he oversees leadership, client relationships and strategy.
Rob brings over two decades of experience working closely with technology, private equity and venture capital clients. Prior to his current position at SVB, he served as a founding member and partner at Gold Hill Capital, a venture debt fund specializing in providing financing solutions to companies in the innovation economy.
Darren Kimura is the President and CEO of AI Squared, an AI-native platform backed by NEA that helps enterprises securely deploy, govern and operationalize AI at scale. A serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist, Darren brings a rare dual perspective, having invested in 40 startups and operated multiple venture-backed companies across cybersecurity, infrastructure software and clean energy leading to their successful exits.
Dave Mullen is a Partner at Pinegrove Venture Partners, a leading global venture investment platform, where he helps lead global primary equity strategies across fund and direct investing. At Pinegrove, Dave focuses on backing breakout managers and founders at the center of emerging technology shifts, with a particular emphasis on AI, fintech, and enterprise software.
Previously, Dave was an investor with Wells Fargo Strategic Capital, the venture capital arm of Wells Fargo where he focused on venture growth investments in the technology sector.
Dave started his career with J.P. Morgan in the middle market corporate bank and then Leveraged Finance division of the Investment Bank where he was responsible for raising capital for both sponsor buyout and M&A transactions.
Dave earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Economics, Analytic Finance, and Entrepreneurship and earned his B.B.A. in Finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
Dave currently lives in San Francisco and is a competitive triathlete. On any given weekend you can find him cycling, trail running, swimming, hiking or skiing in Northern California.
Emma Eschweiler is a Director for Silicon Valley Bank’s Technology Group. She is responsible for the growth and development of institutional venture capital and corporate relationships on behalf of SVB, with a focus on partners making direct investments, acquisitions or partnerships principally within the enterprise software ecosystem, including areas such as cybersecurity, developer tools, applications, data infrastructure and open-source initiatives. Additionally, Emma co-authors SVB’s bi-annual proprietary report, State of the Markets: SaaS Report.
Before her current role, Emma was a vice president in SVB’s Northern California Enterprise Practice, where she managed a portfolio of growth stage, venture-backed, enterprise software clients in the region. In this role, she provided clients with creative financing and banking solutions, engagement and access to SVB networks and general business advisory services.
Emma earned her bachelor’s degree in government and global studies from Colby College. She has continued her education at Georgetown University and Sciences Po in France. Emma is fluent in French and lives in San Francisco.
Andrew McCarty is a senior vice president on SVB’s NorCal Enterprise Software team. In this role, he advises a portfolio of venture-backed enterprise software clients in the San Francisco Bay Area from seed to pre-IPO. Andrew advises startups and their founders on creative banking and financing solutions while leveraging SVB’s network to maximize clients’ probability of success.
Before his current role, Andrew spent six years on SVB’s NorCal Credit Solutions team, specializing in structuring and deploying debt facilities for enterprise software clients.
Andrew graduated from Santa Clara University with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science and a minor in economics.
