Founding Partner, Decibel
Jon is the Founding Partner of Decibel, a newly formed independent venture firm that invests in early-stage technology companies. An entrepreneur turned venture capitalist, Jon has worked alongside dozens of founders and has a passion for helping startups discover their unfair advantages.
Previously a general partner at New Enterprise Associates, Jon led investments in early-stage start-ups in the consumer internet and enterprise software sectors. Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, he was an entrepreneur and co-founder of IMlogic, Inc., serving as its Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Products, through acquisition by Symantec Corporation. He was previously with Goldman Sachs in their private equity group investing in software, internet, and communications.
Jon graduated from Harvard College and is passionate about his family, and the adventures they take together. His personal musings can be found on Twitter @jonsakoda.
Business Development Partner, Decibel
Stacey is the Business Development Partner at Decibel. She supports Decibel’s portfolio by leveraging our network of forward-leaning customers to provide rapid iteration through customer discovery, identifying strategic advisors, and fostering executive sponsor-level relationships through Decibel’s Customer Councils. Stacey also helps amplify the voice of founders by activating the hundreds of unique relationships within our network of strategic partners.
Prior to working with Decibel, Stacey founded SWift Consulting where she led high impact business development engagements for high growth startups and the public sector and previously led teams focusing on marketing, sales operations, and communications at Hewlett-Packard. She also led record-setting fundraising campaigns for local public schools and Stanford University athletics.
Stacey earned a B.A. degree from Stanford University, enjoys beach time with family and volunteers to support local schools.
