Please join the Silicon Valley Bank team to discuss our proprietary SaaS State of the Market Report for 1H 2021.  Russ Follansbee, Managing Director on SVB’s Enterprise Software team, will be joined by Rudina Seseri of Glasswing Ventures, Lily Lyman of Underscore VC, and Brandon Gleklen of Battery Ventures, to discuss key fundraising trends and market data in the SaaS sector.Â
Key Themes:
- Continued trend of more capital invested, but in fewer companies.
- Competition in Series C drives up valuations and sends late stage investors in search of value to A and B Rounds.
- Top quartile companies (by pre-money valuation) are raising subsequent equity rounds ~5 months sooner than the historical norm -> Investors are pre-empting demand with high valuations.
- High Growth/High Burn is rewarded with High Revenue multiples.
