In the competitive world emerging professionals face, strong interview skills are ESSENTIAL for them to begin their journey.
In this activity, your experience and feedback will provide valuable insight and the edge they need for the future, all the while allowing students a constructive space and opportunity to practice their interview skills, share their passions and achievements, and ultimately build confidence speaking with professionals that they may apply in future interviews.
How it will work: In Zoom breakout rooms, volunteers will conduct 1:1 mock interviews with 2-3 students, giving constructive feedback after each interview to the group. We encourage volunteers to initiate open conversations with their groups to encourage thought-sharing, constructive feedback and appreciation. Volunteers will be provided a question template, but are free to integrate questions they have heard or been asked themselves during the interview process for better preparedness and relevance.
